When you're looking to get some plastering work done, one of the first things you want to know is how much it will cost you.
Below we show you exactly how we will calculate the price you will pay when we work together.
The following pricings are inclusive of materials and take into account the condition of the existing surface and the amount of work involved to produce a high quality finish.
Walls - per Square Metre
- Skimming 2 coats onto relatively flat existing plaster - £6.00
- Skimming 2-3 coats onto existing Artex - £10.00
- Plasterboard onto stud wall and skim - £8.50
- Plasterboard (dot and dab) to existing brick and skim - £10.00
- Walls featuring windows, chimney breasts or doorways will increase in price accordingly, normally by between £20-£50.
Ceilings - per Square Metre
- Skimming 2 coats onto existing plaster - £9.00
- Skimming 2 coats over Artex - £15.00
- Float and set over Artex - £15.00
- Plasterboard and skim - £15.00
Examples of Full Room Prices
Example 1
4m x 3m room re-skim
Walls - 44 square metres X £6.00 = £252.00
Ceiling - 12 square metres x £9.00 = £108.00
Total - £360.00
Example 2
4m x 3m room re-skimmed walls, ceiling boarded and skimmed
Walls - 44 square metres x £6.00 = £252.00
Ceiling - 12 square metres x £15.00 = £180.00
Total - £432.00
Some Common Examples of Repairs we do are:
- Repairing areas of loose plaster/render that has come away from the brick.
- Filling in after electricians have channeled into walls and ceilings.
- Ceiling repairs after water damage from leaks.
Every repair job is different but below is a rough estimate of how much a repair will cost.
- Repair and re-skim of area less than 1 metre - £50.00
- Repair and re-skim of area between 1-2 metres - £70.00
Exterior Rendering
- 2 coats of sand and cement render - £30 per square metre
Day Rate
If you have several small jobs that need doing it can sometimes be more cost effective to bundle them together into our day rate.
- Day rate 1 - £150 (8am-3pm)
- Day rate 2 - £180 (8am-5am)
Whole House
If you are thinking about plastering your whole house and need to quickly work out how much it might be, this is for you.
- Usual range from £1,800 - £2,500 depending on size
