Re Skimming
If yours walls and ceilings look a little tired but the existing plaster is still solid and generally intact, having them re-skimmed will bring them back to life with a smooth finish while providing added insulation. Jobs are priced on a room by room basis, but here at ‘Plaster My House’ there is no job too small, so if you have a single wall or ceiling that needs plastering then please don’t hesitate to call us.
Dry lining/ Plasterboarding
We provide this service for when the old plaster on your walls is loose and can be chipped away fairly easily. Here it is necessary to take the plaster off the wall and replace it with new plasterboard that is fixed to the wall with a bonding adhesive. The plasterboard is then skimmed over with finishing plaster to give a crisp finish.
Artex
This is the material rolled onto ceilings and walls with a patterned effect. Older styles of Artex can look very dated and ugly; it maybe desirable to have it plastered over. This is essentially a re-skimming job but more plaster and work is required, so prices are increased accordingly.
Repairs
If you have a small area of wall or ceiling that needs re-plastering, say from something knocking against it or from damp issues, the problem can be easily fixed in a short space of time.
